Please join us in Worship on Sunday, June 25th, as we Commission our two Youth Summer Mission Trips for 2017.
18 Middle and High Schoolers (and a few adult chaperones) will be leaving after Worship on the 25th to go to Providence, RI. They will be doing 3 main mission projects 1) construction, painting, cleaning, and home repairs of the Rescue Mission Main Building and Dorms, 2) serving in a food distribution center, and 3) working in a free store (to hand out clothes to those in need).
Later in the summer, 18 High School Youth and Adults will be going to Alaska. The camp where they are staying serves children whose parents cannot afford to send them to camp. They are taking the camp “off campus” to help children from low income homes. They will provide a VBS camp, a sports camp, (and will probably do a book drive and/or a sports clothing and cleats drive), as well as serve in a food pantry, homeless shelter, and a free store (handing out clothes to those in need).
