Rev. Paul E. Gilmore
Rev. Paul E. Gilmore, who brings 27 years of pastoral experience to the church, was installed at First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan on May 16th, 2010. Rev. Gilmore has spent the last seven years in Stillwater, Minnesota, where he has been instrumental in developing strong mission partnerships which support local schools and churches as well as relief efforts further afield.
Rev. Gilmore attended McCormick Seminary in Chicago intending to pursue a career in teaching religion/peace studies but found his calling in pastoral work and guiding a congregation. He completed his Masters of Divinity at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and has served congregations in Plano, Texas, State College Pennsylvania and Lincoln Illinois.
In addition to being a full time Pastor/Head of Staff, Rev. Gilmore has worked as an editor for the “Church and Society Magazine” and been Chair of the Peacemaking Advisory Committee for The Peacemaking Program of the Presbyterian Church USA. Contact: 203.966.0002 (ext.14) Paul@fpcnc.org
Associate Pastor for Children, Youth and Families
Rev. Kathryn Kibbie Laird Rev. Kathryn Kibbie Laird, Reverend Kibbie, earned her master of divinity degree in 1997 from Yale Divinity School. In 1998, she began her service here at First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan as Interim Director of Youth Ministries for two years. From 2000-2006, Rev. Kibbie served as Associate Minister at The Presbyterian Church in Pleasantville, NY, and most recently, she served as an Associate Minister for Children, Youth and Families at First Presbyterian Church of Greenwich. Minister of Music
Dr. Sean P. McCarthy
As Minister of Music at First Presbyterian Church, Sean directs the Presbyterian Choir School of New Canaan, which offers a wide range of choral and instrumental opportunities for children and youth PreK-Grade 12, in addition to the First Presbyterian Church Choir and English Handbell Choir. He also is Director of the First Presbyterian Church Concert Series, which brings a variety of outstanding musicians to the church to perform, and which presents concerts before Christmas and Easter for chorus and orchestra featuring the First Presbyterian Church Choir. Dr. McCarthy holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in organ performance from The Benjamin T. Rome School of Music at The Catholic University of America and a Master of Music degree in piano performance from the University of Maryland. As a performer, he has presented concerts in churches, cathedrals, and college/university chapels throughout the United States. Cherub Choir Director
Sherry is an inspirational music teacher of young children, as well as a talented vocal soloist with credentials in church music, choral ensemble, and musical theatre. Click on FPCNC Choir School

Born in Maryland and raised in Kansas and Massachusetts, Chuck earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Salem State College in Salem, Massachusetts in 1985. Following graduation, Chuck was commissioned as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army, receiving infantry and airborne training at Ft. Benning, Georgia. He served in various infantry and logistical command positions in West Berlin, Germany and in Saudi Arabia as part of Operation Desert Storm. In 1993, Chuck was hired by Philip Morris, USA, where he became a unit sales manager, assigned to mid-town Manhattan. In 1998 Chuck left Philip Morris to open his own consulting and contracting business. Chuck lives in Stratford. He has been with First Presbyterian since April 1999. He has two sons, Sean and Kevin. Tina St. Armand
Tina began working part time at FPC in September 1988. Her hours and job description changed according to her children's school schedule; she now works full-time. Married to Art (for over 30 years), together they have two children: Artie (a special needs young adult) and Valerie, a Nursery School teacher at the First Presbyterian Nursery School.

Family Night Program and on Sundays at Sunday's Cool. Brook has an extensive
background in church and children's ministries as you will see from her bio.
She will be a welcomed and valued member of our staff. Brook
