In its 26 years of existence, New Canaan CaTS (Career Transition Support) has helped an estimated 13,000 job seekers find new employment by helping them create a job search plan and master key skills like resume development, cover letter writing and interviewing.  In addition to holding bi-weekly meetings for those in transition, CaTS has its own website (www.newcanaancats.org) and a LinkedIn group with over 500 members.

As a not-for-profit supported by FPCNC, CaTS was founded and managed for 16 years by FPCNC’s own Mac Walker.  In 2006, Jim Riehl took over for Mac and managed the group until 2013, when he became FPCNC Stewardship Chairman.  The volunteers who took over for Jim have now been forced to step aside, and as a result, CaTS is currently on hiatus and in real danger of being closed down in the next two months.

CaTS is a Fairfield County institution, and the CaTS brand is well known by those in transition and those who help those in transition.  We need a volunteer or two from FPCNC to assure the survival of this important program.  Please prayerfully contemplate getting involved and helping people during a very stressful time in their lives.  You won’t regret it.

Thank you for your consideration.
