During September, our Midweek Ministries program focused on “Conversations on Race”.

We began on September 14th with “Biblical Roots for Conversations on Race”, led by Rev. Paul E. Gilmore.

The following Sunday, September 18th, featured guest preacher, The Rev. Dr. Tommie Jackson,  pastor of the Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Stamford, Connecticut.   Rev. Jackson led a Pastors’ Forum following worship, engaging us in a conversation on race.

On Wednesday evening, September 21, the conversation on race focused on “Raising Children in Fairfield County.”

At our last meeting, Wednesday, September 28, we were honored to welcome the New Canaan Chief of Police, Leon M. Krolikowski (pictured left), who offered his perspective to this complex topic.

The Midweek Ministries programs begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Common Room, and all are welcome to join as we work on our mission “to learn continuously”.  In October, our discussions will be on “Hospitality & Healing“.
