In Church Activities

The Blessing Tree We hope you will support our youth groups as they seek to help low-income students in Fairfield County during the holiday season. They do this in two ways: a mitten tree for Horizons, a non-profit organization dedicated to building brighter futures for underserved children, and by donating to Domus House, which operates a group home in Stamford for high school boys who are wards of the state. The youth will collect mittens, hats, and used or new children’s coats and fleeces for students in grades K-12 from November 25 until December 19, as well as $25 pre-paid Mastercard or Visa gift cards, which will help the 10 boys at Domus purchase toiletries and winter boots. Domus House’s mission is to provide the boys with a loving, warm, and supportive environment so they can complete high school. Hosted on the campus of New Canaan Country School, Horizons New Canaan serves more than 400 K-12 students from low-income families primarily from Stamford and Norwalk via a six-week summer academic and enrichment program, as well as through school-year programming.
